casing insulatorsAt road crossings, river crossings and railroad crossings, pipelines are often encased in another larger diameter pipe outside the carrier pipe. Casing spacers are used to keep the casing pipe from touching the carrier pipe. End Seals are used at the end of the casing to seal off the void gap between the casing and carrier pipes. Tough, heavy-duty 14 gauge (0.74" [1.88mm]) 304 stainless steel spacers are available for use in highly corrosive environments

Stainless steel casing spacers offer maximum corrosion resistance while providing support for large diameter pipes, unusually heavy pipe or for long casing pulls.

The flanges of the spacer are deep embossed and the corners are chamfered.

The runners are attached with 3/8" (9.5mm) diameter studs, which are fusion welded to the band. The studs are recessed far below the wearing surface of the runner and, after the runner is anchored to the band, the stud counter-bore is filled to ensure a water-tight seal for the stud and the lock fastener.

An all non-metallic casing isolator/spacer system that uses molded segments to encircle the carrier pipe

Each segment of the Ranger II® casing spacer includes at least one molded-in runner and one slide lock. Customers may choose from any one of five different sized bands to ensure correct sizing for carrier pipe O.D. from 0.83" (21 mm) up to 37.60" (955 mm).

Once sized, the segments are placed around the carrier pipe and cinched together via non-metallic slide locks. Installation is quick and easy, and you only need a small inventory of segments to accommodate a large variety of pipe styles, types and diameters.

Ranger II® Casing Spacers

The GPT Ranger II® casing spacer is a non-metallic pipeline support product designed to ease carrier pipe insertion, reduce inventory costs, and make installation faster and safer.

High density, injection molded virgin polyethylene casing isolators/spacers designed primarily for smaller diameter steel or polyethylene carrier pipes

Model PE casing spacers/isolators combine excellent safety and performance with durability and easy installation to deliver a high quality solution for a range of small-diameter piping applications. PE Isolators should not be used on concrete carrier pipe. The outer surface may include any one of several molded runners to accommodate 2" (50.8 mm) x 4" (101.6 mm) or larger carrier/casing differentials.

Model PE Casing Spacers

High temperature-rated casing spacer/isolator for use with small diameter pipes.

Model HT Casing Spacers/Isolators are uniquely formulated to withstand high temperature applications (280° F / 138° C), and are designed primarily for smaller diameter steel or polyethylene carrier pipes (ANSI O.D. pipe without a bell or mechanical joint).
