#2 Wax-Tape® is a nonwoven, nonstitch bonded synthetic fabric, saturated with a blend of microcrystalline wax, solvents and corrosion inhibitors (no clay fillers), forming a tape wrapper that firms up and is suitable for painting.

The CD52 Bandit is a non-intrusive pig signaler which uses either permanent magnets or active transmitters mounted onto the pig to detect passage from 0.022 to 45.73 mph (0.01m/s to 20 m/s). With thousands of systems sold around the world over the past 15 years, the CD52 pig signaler has developed a strong reputation in the industry for its reliability and durability in even the harshest environments.

The Bare Squeegee is an effective pig to run for liquid removal after a hydro-test. It has also proven to maintain a superior seal when flow rates are minimal. Bare Squeegees can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources. Bare Squeegee pigs come in medium (5lb), or high (9lb) foam densities.

The Black Belt is outfitted with urethane blades molded into the foam for maximum scraping power. The tough urethane blades are great for paraffin removal. The urethane blades make it the perfect choice for plastic or internally coated pipelines, where traditional brush pigs cannot be used. The Black Belt is available in both medium and heavy density urethane foam. The Black Belt can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources.

Urethane blades provide the tough scraping action necessary to remove soft internal deposits.

Brushes are used for cleaning the interior of the pipeline where wax, asphaltenes, scale, salt, sand or debris are present.

Caliper pigs are designed to measure the roundness of the pipeline to determine areas of deformation.

Water or water vapor is present in most pipeline casings making possible galvanic corrosion of the carrier pipe. Also, a “water short” can occur through the water in the casing, allowing cathodic current to flow through the water and on to the pipe in the casing.

The CD52 family of products allow for easy, clamp-on, non-intrusive pig passage detection to depths of 3000 meters (9850 ft) for the CD52-A30 or 4500 meters (14750 ft) for the CD52-A45. Non-intrusive means fewer problems with maintenance and corrosion and no possibilities of leaks. Simple isolation pads may be placed between the detector and the pipe to ensure zero possibility of galvanic corrosion.

The CD42-STS allows for subsea tracking of moving pigs and locating stationary or stuck pigs equipped with CDI's standard line of electromagnetic transmitters. The CD42-STS diver and ROV tracking system does not use radioactive isotopes.

Criss-Cross pigs have a urethane coating which provides extra durability and allows the pig to travel longer distances without being damaged. These pigs can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources. Criss-Cross pigs come in soft (2lb), medium (5lb), or high (9lb) foam densities.

EVOLUTION® is a patent pending product that is the first of its kind to be a fully encapsulated isolating gasket. The thinner, 1/8” (3mm) design minimizes the difficulties often encountered while attempting to install thicker isolating gaskets. The total encapsulation allows the gasket to be hydro-tested and kept in the pipeline with virtually no loss in isolation properties.

The EZ Plunger is used for transportation of spheres. It can also be used to remove spheres from smaller prover loops.

Trenton Fill-Pro PM-GP™ Profiling Mastic is a specially formulated, moldable mastic for use with Trenton Wax-Tapes® and Wax-Tape Primers. FillPro PM-GP incorporates a blend of petrolatum and polymer-based components to form a cold-applied, self-adhesive and self-supporting mastic. FillPro PM-GP is compatible with all Trenton tapes and primers.

Fill-Coat #1® is a low melt point, hot-installed petrolatum compound that sets up relatively firm at ground temperatures commonly found in normal pipeline operations. It has good “wetting” and adhesion characteristics and prevents possible corrosion of pipe in casings.

Fill-Coat #2® is designed to be installed cold out of a 55 gallon drum for small quantity requirements. It remains in a firm gel consistency at ground temperatures commonly found in normal pipeline operations.

Fill-Coat #6® is a cold-installed/high temperature petroleum based casing filler compound that can be installed at ambient temperature as low as 50°F (10°C) with portable pumps. The product is used in bridge abutment casings, and it can be used in casings with elevated temperatures.

Fill-Putty™ is an anticorrosive moldable filler material used to even the contours of irregular fittings and surfaces. Once applied, it is overwrapped with Trenton’s Wax-Tapes®.

Foam disc pigs have a series of ridges or discs that help to provide extra wiping and sealing capabilities. Because this foam pig provides such a good seal, foam disc pigs are ideal for a number of applications including, product recovery and removal, de-watering, and nitrogen purges. Foam disc pigs are available in both medium (5lb) and heavy density (9lb) foam. Foam disc pigs can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources.

Foam Spheres can be an ideal pig to run when there are tees, tight radius bends or other challenges to negotiate. Foam Spheres can be manufactured in both 5lb and 9lb foam densities in sizes 2” – 36”. The spheres can be made in the following options: bare foam, criss cross coating, totally coated, silicone carbide and wire brush.

Gauging plates are used for checking out-of-round pipes, dents or anomalies in the line. The most common material used is aluminum but steel is also available. For added information, slots can be cut into the plate to allow for better knowledge of the damaged area. Gauge plates can be made to any requested OD and to fit any steel body bolt hole circle pattern.

Guard-Wrap™ consists of a spunbonded polyester mat, saturated with microcrystalline wax that is laminated to a polyester film which is coated with microcrystalline wax. Its conformability makes it ideal for wrapping fittings. It also works well on straight pipe.

The Hand-Launch Pig is a single-piece, bi-directional foam pig manufactured with long-wearing yet flexible urethane foam discs. They are designed to navigate dual-diameter situations well and especially good at running in PE pipe where weld joints require flexibility. Hand-Launch Pigs are available in both medium and heavy density urethane foam. Hand Launch Pigs can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources. Trenton HT-3000 Wax-Tape® is a specially formulated wax-based tape used for corrosion protection of metal pipe and fixtures experiencing higher than normal temperatures. When used in combination with Trenton Temcoat™ 3000 primer, this easy-to-apply tape delivers highly effective and durable corrosion protection to bare or coated surfaces in a wide range of field conditions.

Flange filling is the process of pouring hot Innercoat between the flange faces to prevent corrosion.

Innercoat® is a blend of microcrystalline waxes designed to provide the most desirable corrosion resistance, adhesion and wetting characteristics. It is hot-applied directly to the pipe surface and is always over-wrapped with a proper Trenton wrapper depending on the type of application.

Magnets are often mounted on the body of the pig to pick up any metallic debris that might be in the pipeline. Drinkwater Products offers several varieties of magnets that can be fitted to most pigs.

The Receiver

The MANTIS 820 is CDI’s newest product for subsea pipeline pig tracking. The MANTIS is a deep-water ROV tie-in solution which provides all of the benefits of CDI’s multi-frequency electromagnetic pig tracking in a durable and robust package. The MANTIS 820 may be purchased or rented to use along with our wide family of TRAXALL Transmitters which include 8 ATEX variants. 

MC Outerwrap™ is a specialized blend of quick curing resins impregnated into a fiberglass fabric. It provides soil stress and backfill protection to coatings that need additional mechanical strength. MC Outerwrap is specifically designed as a “hard shell” outerwrap over the Wax-Tapes.

Metal studs are set in this foam pig for aggressive removal of hard scale deposits. Due to their aggressiveness, the metal stud pig is to be used with caution and only in the most extreme circumstances. Pre-Con™ is a liquid casing water conditioner for pipeline casings. It consists of "wetting" and filming agents, vapor phase inhibitors, alkaline media additives and antibacterial conditioners.

Mag-Tek® features a pressure balanced, piston actuated, proximity switch with no dynamic seals. The switch is factory sealed, with no field adjustment, eliminating the chance of slipping from the original setting. The hemispherical shape of the piston allows either uni-directional or bi-directional operation. The detector switch is manufactured from stainless steel and designed for either above ground or below ground applications. Trenton PVC Outerwrap requires no specific surface preparation and can be applied in a wide variety of environmental conditions. It is simply spiral-wrapped, with an overlap, over the existing corrosion coating. No special tools required.

The S-2000 Clamp Ring Closure is manufactured primarily for pipeline applications ranging from 4” to 48” (DN100 to DN1200) in diameter. We understand the variety of needs that pipeline applications require and as a standard, all closures are certified to ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8/CSA Z662 Cat. I with a 0.5/0.6 design factor. High quality components placed in user-friendly locations and features that keep safety priority, and the operator in focus makes the S-2000 an appealing Clamp Style Closure option.

The S-3000 is Stark’s Internal Door design which is manufactured in diameters ranging from 6” to 84” (DN150 to DN2100). The closure design concept relies on the proven method of a locking ring that slides into the closures outer hub. When expanded to the closed position, the locking ring assembly securely latches the door into place. Durable components are used to actuate the locking ring and are designed to withstand the demands of long-term operation.

The Stark S-500 threaded closure represents historically the most widely used closure style in the oil and gas sector. Based on the industry desire for robust and cost-effective solutions, Stark improved upon the industry standard design to bring operation to a new level. Features to avoid hammering and strengthen operator control were incorporated into the otherwise proven design. The S-500 is manufactured in diameters ranging from 2” to 52” (DN50 to DN1300) and pressure series 150 through 1500.

Short-Stop™ casing end electrical insulator is made of compression-resistant neoprene rubber and installed in casing ends. In addition to dielectric properties, Short-Stop is resistant to oil, water, ozone and chemicals. The Short-Stop insulator will also withstand a wide range of temperature variations.

This Silicone Carbide pig offers a "sandpaper" effect on the pipe wall and is great for loosening dirt and scale build-up often found in water lines. The Silicone Carbide pigs are available in both medium and heavy density urethane foam. The Silicone Carbide pigs can be modified to accommodate transmitters, magnets and/or radioactive sources.

Drinkwater Products sizing rings are built from lightweight, durable aluminum. The inside diameter is machined to a specified size to allow the operator to easily check and reproduce the proper inflation sizing of pipeline and prover spheres for use.

At the time of an order, the customer will need to furnish the nominal pipe inside diameter and percentage interference. For example a 8" Standard Wall Pipe = 7.981” ID, with a 3% interference, yields a desired sizing ring diameter of 8.22”. Or, if the actual internal diameter of the ring is known, the finished part can be cut to the specified size.
